Mentally Healthy Practices
A workshop for leaders and influencers
The veterinary practice environment can be a minefield of psychosocial hazards. Challenges to our mental health include long hours, difficult clients, vicarious trauma and managing interpersonal issues in the team.
Join Rosie Overfield for an evidence-based practical workshop to build your skills and strategies for developing a mentally-healthy workplace. This one-day program will help participants to:
- Understand the WHS legislation as it relates to psychosocial hazards and work-related stress
- Develop a mentally-healthy workplace strategy and team training program
- Act quickly to support and manage mental health problems
- Build the confidence and competence of workplace leaders to support positive mental health and wellbeing in practice
All workshop participants will receive a Mentally-Healthy Workplace Toolbox that will include a free wellness plan, training calendar, mental health first aid resources and human resource tools.
